Welcome
to Kanazawa;Ryokan |
|
Kanazawa is one of Japan's foremost castle
towns.
The city boasts many places of historic
and aesthetic interest, such as splendid
Kenrokuen, known as one of the three most
beautiful gardens in Japan.
In Kanazawa, every seasonal change is
so carefully celebrated with traditional
cuisine, decor and yearly events that
one feels as if there are many more than
four seasons.
Kanazawa was the capital of the Kaga area,
Japan's, wealthiest province in the Edo
era.
The refined culture that was nourished
in feudal days and Kanazawa's historic
beauty remain due to the city being completely
untouched by war.
While still preserving its precious heritage,
Kanazawa has developed into a thoroughly
charming modern city.

Asadaya Ryokan is similar to a history
and art museum. It has breathtaking
collection of sword guards from
the Edo period. They were the status
symbols of Samurai, or warrior,
engraved with their family crests
or Japanese flora and fauna. |
